Matthew Sidgreaves, Interim Director

Matthew joined the company in 2016 following more than 10 years’ experience of working in economic regeneration and business support. Following spells as the company’s Business Growth Manager and Head of Operations, Matthew was appointed to the role of Interim Director in 2018. As Interim Director, Matthew is the lead officer for the company and oversees the delivery of Growth Lancashire’s annual business plan, agreed by the Board. Matthew works closely with Local Authority elected members and senior officers, along with other key stakeholders from the public, private and third sectors, with the aim of ensuring that the company fulfils its mission of growing jobs, prosperity and skills across the County. In 2014, Matthew completed an MBA at the University of Central Lancashire, with his dissertation focusing on the high growth potential of small and medium sized enterprises.

Vladimir Pejcinovic, Head of Operations

Vladimir joined Growth Lancashire from Hyndburn Borough Council where for 10 years he worked in Economic Development and Regeneration demonstrating his ability at progressing complex projects and developing strategic partnerships. Prior to this, Vladimir spent 20 years working in the private sector including setting up and running his own companies. As Head of Operations, Vladimir oversees the company’s delivery role for Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, Boost. Through Boost, the company provides a range of services to the County’s businesses, including access to a team of experienced advisors who deliver impartial and face-to-face business advice.  Alongside operations management, Vladimir has a particular expertise in Heritage, recognising that it offers a great opportunity to develop Lancashire’s tourism offer and diversify the economy whilst delivering positive regeneration outcomes. Vladimir holds a higher level management qualification and a degree in Law from Lancaster University.

Janet Doolan, Business Support Manager

Janet joined the company in 2015 and now manages projects and staff providing the business helpline service for Boost, Lancashire’s Growth Hub. She has acquired significant experience in developing and managing a wide variety of public funded support programmes over the last 15 years. She has worked extensively with both businesses and individuals to maximise their growth ambitions. She has contract managed multi-million pound public sector projects and programmes in Cumbria and Lancashire. Janet has expertise in developing employment and skills policies and strategies.  Janet has a degree from the University of London, post-graduate diploma from the University of Strathclyde and a management qualification.  She is Vice Chair of Governors at an Outstanding Special School in Blackburn.

Mick Hynes, Finance Manager

Mick joined the Company in 2013, following many years’ experience in Local Government Finance and has a passion for accuracy and detail. Mick specialises in overseeing the financial delivery and audit of large scale externally funded economic development projects and business support programmes.  Mick has worked on a wide range of Government programmes and has acted as financial lead in European Funding programmes across Lancashire. Mick also has significant experience in supporting business advisors undertaking due diligence on business grant and loan applications.
