Casual employment opportunity: Associate Senior Boost Business Advisors

Salary: £16.28 per hour (plus an additional 12.07% holiday pay entitlement)

Growth Lancashire’s mission is to grow jobs, prosperity and skills across the County. We provide business support and economic development services with the aim of making Lancashire the best place to start and grow a business in the Country. The company is controlled by a number of local councils (the employing body is Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council), and our Board is private sector led, whilst also comprising elected members from our local Councils.

We deliver Gateway services for Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub,  boost. Our contract runs to the 31st December 2018, however we are also bidding for new opportunities, which if successful, would commence from January 2019.

The team of Associate Senior Business Advisors working on the Boost programme are fully committed to #GrowingLancashire and offer impartial advice to help businesses navigate through a complex eco-system of commercial and publicly funded support.

In addition to our current pool of amazing Associates, we want to hear from any individuals who consider themselves sector or subject experts, and who might be interested in working for Growth Lancashire on a casual basis to help deliver the Boost programme and any future opportunities. We are proud to deliver services for Boost and you will be capable of delivering support to Lancashire’s most promising growth companies – diagnosing their needs, providing information and brokering effective solutions. You will be an experienced campaigner in the field of business engagement and support, with a proven track record. You will be someone with previous industry experience and be comfortable in delivering hands-on support via publicly funded provision.

Importantly, we are looking for Associates who

  • Are as passionate about business growth as we are and understand the issues and challenges faced by SMEs
  • Are suitably qualified/experienced
  • Are committed to delivering a high quality service which meets the needs of Lancashire’s business community and will be ambassadors for the Boost programme
