Heritage and Conservation Assistant (12-month Fixed-Term Contract)

Growth Lancashire specialises in heritage and conservation activities across the public, private, and voluntary sectors. We have established ourselves as a trusted partner for numerous Local Authorities, providing guidance on development proposals, including planning and listed building applications. We also collaborate with Councils on conservation area reviews and appraisals. Recently, we successfully secured a project to review six conservation areas for a Lancashire authority.

We are currently seeking a Heritage and Conservation Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will work closely with our specialist services lead, providing project support to the heritage team to assist in delivering the conservation area review work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of heritage work
  • Deliver an effective and professional service to our wide range of stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Understanding of heritage within a planning context
  • Working towards or have completed a degree or postgraduate qualification in Heritage, Building Conservation, Town and Country Planning, or Architecture
