LCM Environmental Services, a dynamic fuel, energy, and infrastructure company based in Padiham, is on the rise! They’ve expanded their team and services and even launched a major rebrand, thanks to some fantastic support from Boost, Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub.
Founded way back in 1987, LCM has grown both organically and through multiple acquisitions. They offer top-notch, safe, and efficient solutions for businesses where fuel and energy are crucial. Today, LCM stands tall as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fuel and infrastructure services.
Their impressive growth since 2019 has been fuelled by strategic acquisitions across the fuel, energy, and infrastructure sectors. With a talented team of 85 people, including skilled engineers and specialists, LCM operates from offices in Padiham, Selby, Birmingham, and Belfast.
In July 2022, Paul Rava, the former operations director of Clovemead (one of LCM’s first acquisitions), stepped up as managing director. Paul’s mission is to strengthen the leadership team and drive the company’s continued expansion through further acquisitions.
To keep up the momentum, LCM reached out to Boost in November 2023 for strategic guidance. After an initial consultation with Boost’s Business Advice Service, Paul joined the Scale to Thrive programme, setting the stage for even more growth and success.
He said: “We initially contacted Boost to go over our ESG strategy, which is extremely important for our business. However, joining the programme has given me the opportunity to talk confidentially with peers working within other fast-growing businesses in Lancashire facing a wide range of similar challenges.
“We all appear to have similar issues about recruitment and increasing brand awareness and finding the confidence to bring new senior leaders into our business.”
