Blackburn-based Littlefair’s Wood Finishing Products was founded in 2016 to offer a water-based alternative to the more commonly used solvent-based wood stains. The company’s products are sold online through various platforms, including Amazon.

Following an initial engagement with one of Growth Lancashire’s Business Advisors, a detailed meeting took place to understand the business’s challenges and barriers to growth. Based on this insight, a number of specialist referrals were made, one of which was to the Access to Finance service.

As a result of this referral, the company secured £75,000 from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II’s Smaller Loans fund. This investment will support the next phase of Littlefair’s growth, including expanding their team to meet increasing demand both in the UK and internationally.
