A Fylde based company that supplies candy, chocolate and wrapping machinery to confectionery manufacturers is to increase the size of its site and create 8 new jobs, with support from a Government grant.
Family owned firm Loynds have been providing equipment and developing bespoke machines for businesses across 66 countries for over 25 years.
Recent growth has meant that the company needs to increase its staff level to meet demand and also increase the size of its premises to accommodate them. Loynds currently occupies a 7,000 square foot building, but has outgrown it to the extent that it needs three times the space.
A 23,000 square foot factory has been identified at Arkwright Court on Blackpool and Fylde Industrial Estate. The new site provides dedicated space for engineering, manufacturing, storage and a showroom.
Loynds were able to source a £85,000 grant from Regenerate Pennine Lancashire to contribute towards the full cost of the project. The grant was supported by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
Regenerate’s grant will contribute to the move, new equipment and the cost of machinery handling equipment to assist with the move.
