Blackburn with Darwen Council is now in a position to offer bus shelter advertising opportunities across the borough.
The Council now owns and manages all the bus shelter sites that are available in the area – offering in excess of 50 sites.
Each shelter is strategically located along busy routes in areas of high traffic and footfall volumes to maximise the impact of advertising campaigns.
The bus shelters provide excellent exposure to pedestrian and vehicular traffic. They also offer consumers something to look at while they’re waiting for the bus, making them particularly effective for advertising point-of-purchase and sign-posting to service information.
The authority now manages the sites in-house, which allows the council to set pricing structures at heavily reduced rates compared with the industry standard.
Bus shelter advertising is an excellent opportunity to directly target daily audiences of between 20-25k cars a day travelling in and around the borough.
In addition to that more than three million bus journeys are taken each year – offering a huge opportunity to get your message out to a wider target audience.
