In March 2024, the Boost team proudly took part in the Lancashire Business Expo (#LBE2024), hosting our stand at the event’s new venue – the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). This highly anticipated annual gathering brought together businesses from across the county, providing a unique opportunity to network, share ideas, and showcase our offerings alongside over 150 exhibitors.
Setting the Stage
Arriving early to set up, we were greeted by a lively atmosphere as businesses big and small prepared their stands. While others set up intricate displays, we kept things simple yet impactful with our bold yellow Boost branding. Our stand was fully equipped with banners, business cards, and leaflets, as well as a range of Boost-branded merchandise. We were particularly excited to introduce a new element to our stand this year – a competition to win a Boost-branded Lancashire Box, filled with an assortment of local produce.
To participate, attendees simply had to drop off their business cards, with the lucky winner drawn at the end of the day. The Lancashire Box proved to be a hit, drawing plenty of interest and giving visitors an extra reason to stop by our stand.
Standing Out Amongst the Crowd
With around 1,700 visitors attending the event, we were thrilled to see so much activity throughout the day. The variety of eye-catching and interactive stands on display kept everyone engaged, and we hoped our Boost colours helped us stand out in the crowd. It was fantastic to see so many businesses from across Lancashire represented, and we enjoyed connecting with visitors and fellow exhibitors alike.
Learning and Insight
In addition to networking opportunities, the event featured several TED-style talks, offering insightful advice and fresh perspectives on a range of business topics. These talks were a great resource for anyone looking to expand their knowledge, and we were pleased to see so many attendees taking the time to listen and learn.
A Successful Day for Boost
The Lancashire Business Expo 2024 was a great success for the Boost team. Not only did we have the chance to showcase our work and connect with other local businesses, but we also gained valuable insights from the many industry leaders present. The response to our stand, especially our Lancashire Box competition, was overwhelmingly positive, and we were pleased to contribute to the event’s lively and engaging atmosphere.
As Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, Boost is always looking for new ways to support local businesses, and LBE2024 provided a fantastic platform to do just that. We left the event feeling inspired and energised, looking forward to working with the businesses we met and continuing to help them thrive in 2024 and beyond.
