The built heritage of Lancashire enriches our lives and helps us understand the past. From grand civic buildings to humble rural dwellings, history surrounds us and it is rightfully ours to celebrate and share. But it should also be ours to define and shape. So how can you help make this happen?

Two flagship projects in Lancashire are engaging with communities to help ensure the heritage of the county reflects the voices and the choices of the people.

The ambitious ยฃ13.2m Harris Your Place project at Prestonโ€™s much-loved Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Library aims to reimagine the building and present it as a vibrant and diverse hub of community activity, for now and the future.

The Lancashire Local List project which is delivered by the Growth Lancashire Heritage and Conservation Team is working with communities to develop a county-wide register of โ€˜local heritage assetsโ€™, including buildings, monuments and landscapes that contribute to the character of the local area.

The Growth Lancashire Heritage and Conservation Team are taking part in this event, in conjunction with the Harris Museum and kindly hosted by UCLan. It is aimed at engaging with communities and encouraging community involvement. We want to hear your voice.
