Carmen, a 26-year-old mother, found her greatest inspiration in her son, who was born 11 weeks prematurely. This life-changing experience instilled in her a deep sense of strength, patience, and the importance of self-care — values that now form the foundation of her new business venture.
With nearly nine years of experience in the beauty industry, Carmen has developed a holistic understanding of beauty. For her, beauty is not just about appearance — it’s about emotional wellbeing and inner confidence. This philosophy has driven her to create a space that goes beyond traditional salon services.
Following on from her support from Growth Lancashire’s Purves Ali, as of October 2025, Carmen is dedicating all her spare time to preparing the studio for its grand opening. From interior design to service planning, every detail is being perfected to ensure the space reflects her vision of warmth, wellness, and empowerment.
Carmen has made use of all she has been offered and has attended various workshops which have supported her.
Carmen’s Studio aims to become a cornerstone of the local community in Darwen — a place where women feel supported, seen, and celebrated. Through her studio, Carmen hopes to inspire others to embrace self-care and discover the deeper meaning of beauty.
