In 2022, the Council appointed the company to update the Fishergate Hill Conservation Area Character Appraisal, which involved undertaking a visual assessment of all the properties within the conservation area. The work has redefined the special interest of this city centre conservation area and has assisted the Local Authority in identifying buildings of high architectural and historic importance, as well as the threats and pressures affecting the area.
Work is now also progressing on providing an update of the Avenham Conservation Area Character Appraisal. This area includes parts of the city that experienced 19th-century middle-class housing expansion, leading down to the River Ribble and encompassing the development of both Avenham and Miller Parks.
