Celebrating Excellence: The King’s Award for Enterprise

In May of this year, we had the honour of attending an event in Leyland, surrounded by a group of remarkable businesses – both past and current recipients of The King’s Award for Enterprise. This prestigious accolade is recognised globally and serves as a royal seal of approval for UK businesses that demonstrate outstanding achievement in one of four key categories: innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

A Gathering of Excellence

The event brought together the best of Lancashire’s business community, all of whom have earned their place in the history of this prestigious award. The room was filled with inspiring stories of local businesses that have pushed the boundaries in their respective fields, from groundbreaking innovations to successful international trade ventures.

Among those attending was Amanda Parker, JP, Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, who shared her pride in the local businesses recognised by The King’s Award. She noted that it was a true privilege to award such a prestigious honour to companies within Lancashire, further reinforcing the county’s reputation for excellence in business.

A Royal Seal of Approval

The King’s Award for Enterprise is one of the highest official recognitions a UK company can receive, acknowledging outstanding contributions in areas that drive forward the economy and social progress. Winning this award provides businesses with a globally recognised mark of quality and excellence, helping them stand out in competitive markets, both at home and abroad.

Supporting Lancashire Businesses

We were proud to witness firsthand the impact that The King’s Award for Enterprise has on Lancashire’s business landscape. The event not only celebrated these impressive achievements but also inspired other local businesses to strive for excellence and growth in their industries.

As a globally recognised symbol of success, the award opens up new opportunities for growth, collaboration, and innovation, with the potential to inspire future generations of Lancashire entrepreneurs.
