From Kitchen Table to Industry Leader: EBPNW’s Growth Journey with Boost Lancashire

Emma Woan and Tracy Gardiner founded Education Business Partnership North West (EBPNW) in 2014, and with support from Boost Lancashire, they have grown their business significantly. Starting from a kitchen table, they identified a gap in the careers education market and have now expanded to employ 12 people, with projected revenue of £340k in 2024.

With Boost’s support, including mentorship from adviser Purves Ali, EBPNW coordinated 3,962 work placements and delivered nearly 5,000 career guidance interviews in the past year alone. The business is now aiming to expand further, targeting £500k turnover and growing the team to 14 in the next two years. Through their continued partnership with Boost, Emma and Tracy are determined to make EBPNW the leading provider of career education services across the North West.

The company’s social impact is also notable, with a £118m social return on investment, showcasing its value beyond just financial growth. Boost Lancashire’s ongoing support, including participation in the Growth Catalyst programme, will help EBPNW refine its growth strategy, enabling them to achieve their ambitious goals.
