🌳 Celebrating Nature: Vote for the 2025 UK Tree of the Year!

We’re delighted to share the stunning shortlist for the 2025 UK Tree of the Year, curated by the Woodland Trust under the theme “Rooted in Culture”.

Each of these remarkable trees tells a unique story — from poetry and peace to music and myth — all deeply embedded in our shared heritage. The competition celebrates the cultural, historical, and environmental importance of trees across the UK.

  • King of Limbs, Wiltshire – A thousand-year-old oak linked to Radiohead’s iconic album.
  • Wilfred Owen Sycamore, Edinburgh – A healing tree turned musical tribute to a war poet.
  • Tree of Peace and Unity, Northern Ireland – A living symbol of harmony.
  • Lollipop Tree, Salisbury Plain – A cinematic star from the film 1917.
  • The Beatles’ Cedar Tree, Chiswick – A backdrop to music history.
  • Knole Park Oak, Kent – Possibly Britain’s tallest oak, with literary links to Orlando.
  • Bradgate Park’s Oldest Oak, Leicestershire – A royal connection dating back over 800 years.
  • Lonely Tree, Llanberis – A Welsh icon beloved by photographers and Netflix viewers.
