Business is the word for Burnley translator

A woman from Burnley has received free support to help start a new French and Spanish translation business.

Vanessa Robinson set up V Translate, which services include document translation and interpreting for businesses that want to make successful working relationships abroad.

She heard about a free business start programme run by Regenerate Pennine Lancashire from a previous attendee, and was able to access workshops that covered the essential aspects of running a business. Topics covered included sales, marketing and finance.

Vanessa said:

“The impact of the programme means I am now able to recognise what I need to do to establish my company. Further to the workshops, we have been given access to a free business coach who is assisting us with a comprehensive business plan and set of financial forecasts. We also meet with a mentor, who has provided continued support and advice in the early stages of our company’s development.”

The programme was supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
