Business owner recommends recruitment seminars

17.10.13

The owner of a new Blackburn company is urging businesses to take advantage of free seminars after they helped him avoid common recruitment mistakes.

Ian Jillings runs Local Mobile, a business that offers marketing advice to local businesses and specialises in mobile marketing – the practise of reaching clients effectively on smartphones and other mobile devices.

He wanted to expand his company but first he needed to find out more about recruiting staff, find out what the latest procedures and policies are and get copies of easy-to-use templates.

Ian received free support to grow his business from the economic development company, Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

The businessman attended a free HR seminar which gave him an excellent understanding of recruitment.

Ian said: “The seminar was extremely well presented and I gained a huge amount of benefit from the information.”

“I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any new or existing business owner as the many benefits and future costly pitfall avoidance was more than worth it.”

The seminar was delivered as part of Regenerate’s Pennine LEAP programme which is funded by the European Regional Growth Fund.

Regenerate Pennine Lancashire offers a variety of free support programmes to help businesses start and grow.
