About the Role
With our Arboricultural Officer retiring, we are looking for a skilled professional to step into this vital role. As part of our specialist services team, you will provide expert arboricultural advice to our local authority partners, influencing development management and environmental services.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for trees, the environment, and sustainable development, who wants to make a tangible impact across Lancashire’s natural and built landscapes.
📍 Location: Blackburn with Darwen
📅 Closing Date: 21st February 2025
💷 Salary: Grade G, SCP 24 – 28 (£34,314 – £37,938 per annum)
⏳ Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
📄 Contract: Permanent

What We’re Looking For
✔️ Relevant Arboricultural Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification
✔️ Significant experience in arboriculture (public or private sector)
✔️ Strong understanding of tree management, conservation, and planning
✔️ Ability to provide professional guidance on arboriculture policies and development proposals
✔️ A proactive, collaborative approach to working across sectors
